COP / LOP / LCD
COP, LOP, and LCD are terms related to lifts (elevators) that refer to specific
components or features:
- COP (Car Operating Panel): This is the control panel inside the lift cabin that allows
passengers to select their desired floor. It typically includes buttons or a touchscreen
interface with floor numbers and other controls like emergency buttons or alarms.
- LOP (Landing Operating Panel): LOPs are located outside the lift cabin, usually beside
the lift doors on each floor. They serve the same function as the COP but are used by
passengers waiting to call the lift to their floor. LOPs often feature directional
buttons (up and down arrows) and indicators showing the lift's current position or
status.
- LCD (Liquid Crystal Display): LCD displays are commonly used in modern lift cabins and
LOPs. They provide visual feedback such as floor numbers, directional arrows indicating
the lift's movement, and informational messages or announcements. LCDs are clear and
easy to read, enhancing user experience and providing important operational information.
These components are integral to the operation and user interface of lifts, ensuring
efficient navigation and communication between passengers and the lift system.
